Every burlap-wrapped bouquet from Farmgirl Flowers is a fully designed, hand-tied arrangement of up to 45 stems of farm-fresh seasonal flowers: roses, ranunculus, hydrangea, carnations, stock, anemones, and greens that rotate with the seasons. We design with whatever's freshest that week, which means the occasional stem substitution. The style and size you ordered never change. Mother Nature just keeps her own inventory.
These are front-facing bouquets, which means our design team has already done the fussing (the shape, the layers, the burlap, the twine) before it ever leaves our hands. No rearranging on your kitchen counter, no wondering if you did it right (you did, because we did). Your recipient trims the stems, adds water, and gets straight to the admiring part.
The collection runs from Fun Size (15+ stems) to Fancy Pants (40+), with single-variety bouquets for the purists and our signature mixed designs for the more-is-more crowd. A size and style for every occasion, and for the weeks that don't need one.
The Original Burlap-Wrapped Bouquet
Our founder and CEO, Christina Stembel, created the original burlap-wrapped bouquet when she launched Farmgirl Flowers in San Francisco in 2010. While building her business plan, she went looking for a sustainable alternative to the single-use plastic sleeves that generate hundreds of thousands of tons of floral industry waste each year. Her first thought was the burlap potato sacks from her home state of Indiana, but California had something better: coffee. A few calls to local roasters later, our signature upcycled coffee-sack burlap wrap was born.
